Celebrate Nova Scotia oysters, local wine and craft beer on the beautiful Halifax Waterfront during this one-day festival. October is prime time for Nova Scotia’s rich oyster harvest. The quality of the Nova Scotia oyster is ranked among the best in the world but at home we often forget to herald it’s popularity and heritage.
There are 2 sessions, each 3 hours long. Ticket purchase includes all-you-can-eat Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick oysters and a sample of Benjamin Bridge’s Nova 7. Wine, craft beer, cider samples will also be available for purchase. Restaurants will also be on site to offer sample seafood samples for purchase.
Watch the Gahan House Harbourfront stage where the amateurs and pros alike will compete for prize money in oyster shucking competitions, hosted by Daniel Notkin, champion shuckers competiting at events around the world.
Event is rain or shine. Wear your rubber boots, pull on a sweater, roll up your sleeves and come party like real Nova Scotians.
